April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
April 30th is when conscious-minded folks will all wear RED to represent the many types of violence that women of color endure and how these various types of violence are interconnected.

On April 13th, Women of Color bloggers, feminist bloggers and others who are concerned/in the know, have all made posts about the rape going on in the Congo.
